The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which owns Foxwoods Resort Casino, is close to defaulting on a $700 million line of credit with lenders, according to the New London (Conn.) Day. The tribe has a payment due early next week.

Catering to its Asian clientele, Foxwoods Resort Casino introduced a "rolling chips" program for baccarat players Monday, becoming the first U.S. casino to offer a promotion popularized by casinos in Macau.
Foxwoods has also promoted its top Asian marketing executive to senior vice president and announced that it is opening a new Asian restaurant.

Mashantucket, Connecticut -- The chief executive officer of Foxwoods Resort Casino has become among the first of about 700 employees to lose their jobs because of cost-cutting.
The Mashantucket Pequot tribe, which owns the casino, says Patricia Irvin's last day as CEO was Friday. It is among about 700 positions slated to be cut by Oct. 17 through layoffs or attrition.
The CEO job has been eliminated, and its duties will be shared by the acting president of Foxwoods and the general manager of its MGM Grand facility....read the rest
Mashantucket--A New London man who allegedly exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl in the Tree House Arcade within Foxwoods Resort Casino Thursday night was shot with a Taser after he attempted to flee the casino.
Shelton Hendricks, 49, of 15 Grand St. allegedly exposed himself to the girl while she was in the arcade. The incident happened around 10 p.m.
While members of the state police Casino Unit interviewed Hendricks, he fled and ran into an adjacent parking lot, where he was tasered and subdued....read the rest
