Casino size will triple after short move near Kyrene

Lone Butte Casino will be triple its current size when it moves to a new location on Kyrene Road south of Chandler, bringing restaurants, a bingo hall and more slot machines to the site.
Details came days after the Gila River Indian Community Council voted last Friday to relocate the casino within the same Lone Butte Business Park south of the Santan Freeway instead of moving it to Gilbert Road south of Hunt Highway.
The change solved a potential conflict with southeast Chandler neighborhoods but will likely delay the new facility's opening by a few months, said Dale Gutenson, executive director of the Gila River Indian Community's casino team.
