Large payouts on casino's opening day

Despite the winter weather the State Gaming Control Board said the Hollywood Casino at Penn National had a pretty good opening.

The casino opened Tuesday and folks wagered more than $3.8 million. The casino grossed more than $360,000. So there were some large payouts to customers.

There are more than 2,000 slot machines inside the casino. Officials there say they only expect the revenues to increase.

“Not a place to go if you want to win. While they have many penny machines and putting more in daily they have a very low pay out. The building is new and clean, they now have expanded smoking and plenty of parking. The new buffet is nice but pricey and the new steak house is priced for high rollers only. They give no comps for using their players card and no first time visit comps. Over all okay but there are better places to play in PA.”
