MGM Grand unveils $600M National Harbor casino plan

Developers of MGM Grand, an exclusive resort casino in Las Vegas, said Friday they have reached an agreement with Peterson Cos., developer of National Harbor in Prince George's County, to spend $600 million building a world-class casino.

Peterson Cos. and other members of the venture will spend an additional $200 million on the National Harbor project, MGM Resorts International Chairman and CEO Jim Murren said. The project, which still needs legislative and voter approval, will have about 4,000 slot machines and 250 Las Vegas-style table games. It will also include a hotel, shops, restaurants and entertainment options.
