Cordish opens casino near Indy

The Cordish Co., developer of Louisville's Fourth Street Live, today opened the first phase of Indiana Live, a casino and entertainment complex on the grounds of Indiana Downs, off Interstate 74, about 30 miles southeast of Indianapolis.
Late Saturday night, Baltimore-based Cordish received approval from the Indiana Gaming Commission to open Indiana Live Casino and Cafe Live by Wolfgang Puck in a temporary, 70,000-square-foot facility at Indiana Downs.
The casino features more than 1,900 slot machines and electronic gambling devices, Cordish said in a news release.
