Indian casino pays out $2.4 million in 1st six months of operation

Since opening on August 2, 2007, Four Winds Casino Resort has awarded more than $2.4 million in progressive jackpot prize money through six wide-area progressive jackpot wins. This includes a $910,469 win on January 11, 2008 and a $708,135 win on September 14, 2007.

Four Winds Casino Resort, along with over 300 other tribal casinos across the nation, belongs to a sixteen-state Native American progressive gaming network. Anytime a coin is played in a linked machine, anywhere in the network, the cumulative jackpot continues to grow until it is won. Four Winds Casino Resort is the only casino in the region to feature the wide-area progressives.

"The wide-area progressive jackpots and our exclusive W Club Jackpots are two of the many factors that make Four Winds the premiere gaming destination in the Midwest," said Matt Harkness, general manager, the Four Winds Casino Resort. "We're thrilled that Four Winds has been home to six life-changing jackpots in our first six months."

Throughout the month of January, 161 people won Four Winds Casino Resort's W Club Jackpots totaling over $259,967. In addition to wide-area progressives, Four Winds features W Club member only jackpots. One person won the Windfall Jackpot, which must hit by $100,000, six people won Medium Jackpots, which must hit by $20,000, 141 people won Small Jackpots, which must hit by $500 and 13 people hit our Rapid Fire Jackpot, a one-day only event where Four Winds Casino Resort paid out nearly $25,000 to W Club members throughout the day.

On January 6, 2008, Sandra C. of Michigan City, Ind., won $92,027when she hit the Windfall Jackpot. Sandra plans on taking a vacation in Hawaii with her winnings.
