MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort Casino selects WPCS

WPCS International Incorporated , a leader in design-build engineering services for specialty communication systems and wireless infrastructure, has announced that, through its New England Communications Systems (NECS) subsidiary, it has been selected by Foxwoods Resort Casino to design and deploy a wireless communications network for the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods hotel and casino.

Foxwoods Resort Casino recently unveiled plans for the development of the new $700 million property, which is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2008. The new complex will add two million square feet of overall space featuring significantly increased hotel, entertainment, gaming and restaurant venues as well as enhanced corporate, meeting and convention resources. The project is also expected to positively impact the local employment landscape with 2,300 new jobs. The wireless communications network consists of an advanced ten channel system to be used for specialized voice communications for security and operations purposes. The network design will interface and expand the capabilities of the current system utilized at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
