NH eyes casino revenue to bolster education spending

CONCORD -- Rep. Kim Casey, D-East Kingston, is part of a bipartisan ad hoc group that is introducing a bill to attempt to solve the state's education funding problem.
Casey is the prime sponsor of the education adequacy policy bill and potential revenue sources opportunity to reduce school property tax burden. The bill uses pre-existing state documents to define "adequacy." An informational meeting about the bill is scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the science lecture hall of the old Exeter High School.
