Resort Announces Special December Room Rates

Mount Airy Casino Resort, a full-service destination resort located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, announced today it was offering special opening room rates in December. As part of the casino resort's December in Paradise promotion, room rates on weekdays will start at just $109 for standard king and standard double queen rooms from Monday through Thursday.

"Our December in Paradise promotion offers guests a great way to take a break from the stress of the holidays for a night or two at very reasonable rates," said Mary Rakus, Director of Resort Operations. "This is a great opportunity to experience Mount Airy and everything we have to offer, including great restaurants and an exciting gaming floor. And beginning in the end of December, hotel guests will be able to experience our full-service spa and salon, as well as our new nightclub. We expect to open the spa and salon to the public in early January 2008."

The special rates are subject to availability and exclude December 31st, New Year's Eve. Mount Airy Casino Resort's 188-room hotel officially opened on November 15th. Each room and suite has been designed with the goal of obtaining a four-star rating, including features such as pillow-top beds, a 37-inch LCD TV, Internet access, and a luxuriously appointed bathroom. Every detail of the guest rooms, from the linen count on the beds to the type of fixtures in the bathroom, was hand-selected to ensure that guests have the best possible experience at the resort.

Room options include King or Double Queen Rooms and spacious King Suites. Reservations can be made by calling Mount Airy Casino Resort at 1-877-MT-AIRY1 or 1-877-682-4791.

The casino features a mix of 2,523 reel-spinning machines and the newest themed video slots, as well as progressive jackpots. Dining options at the new resort include Red Steakhouse, offering the highest quality steaks and the freshest seafood; Le Sorelle Cucina, offering Italian delicacies; Betty's Diner, featuring All-American dining; and The Buffet at Mount Airy, open 24 hours a day.

In late December, Mount Airy Casino Resort will further expand its amenities when it opens the upscale Gypsies Lounge Nightclub, which will offer a mix of live bands, DJs and comedy acts. By the end of December, Mount Airy Casino Resort will open its luxury spa and salon to its hotel guests, providing a range of invigorating spa treatments, including facials, skin treatments, personalized massages and more. The spa and salon will open to the general public in early January.
