River Rock Casino offers Sonoma County $100 Million

Santa Rosa, CA -- The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors could vote Tuesday to drop its opposition to the River Rock Casino's liquor license and expansion plans in exchange for $100 million dollars over 12 years.
The Drycreek Rancheria Band of the Pomo Indians, which owns the casino, is proposing to expand River Rock into a full service resort and spa in the coming years.
That expansion would bring a new casino, a 255-bed hotel, a spa, meeting rooms, a wedding chapel and restaurants to the Geyserville area in the hills north of Windsor and Healdsburg, said tribe spokesman Dave Hyams.
"There would be nothing like it in the North Bay," Hyams said.
