Indianapolis Star,  Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 12:43:06 PM

Indiana Live Casino in Shelby County is hosting the first of three job fairs on Friday. The event will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Indiana Downs race track, 4200 N. Michigan Road, Shelbyville.

Friday's job fair begins the casino's quest to fill 350 positions at the permanent 233,000-square-foot facility that will open within a few months, according to a news release from the casino.

The $195 million casino will employ more than 750 people with an annual payroll of more than $19 million.

Applicants, who must be 21 or older, are being sought to fill positions in operations, food and beverage service, finance, slot operations, security, transportation, cashiers and other fields.
