Sho-Ka-Wah Casino: Renovations under way

At Sho-Ka-Wah Casino in Hopland (Mendocino County), which is operated by the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians, officials and gamblers alike are looking forward to a new era.
The 40,000-square-foot casino 45 minutes north of Santa Rosa recently embarked on a multimillion-dollar renovation, shutting down its popular bingo hall to make room for a buffet featuring fresh produce and an Enomatic wine-tasting system.
Other improvements include new carpeting, new games and a wider, safer approach on Nokomis Road.
