Trump Plaza dealers seek to end representation under UAW

Dealers at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino filed a petition Monday seeking decertification from the United Auto Workers union, a federal labor board official confirmed today.
At least 30 percent of dealers signed on to a decertification petition, which would trigger the federal labor board to require a new election be held at the casino, said Dorothy Moore-Duncan, regional director of the National Labor Relations Board in Philadelphia. Dealers would again have the chance to vote on whether they want to keep their union or end their relationship.
In order for a new election to be triggered, the petition to decertify must garner at least 30 percent support. Moore-Duncan declined to say how many names were on the petition.
