Design of $600,000,000 Ohio resort-casino unveiled
Press Release, Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 7:45:29 PM
MyOhioNow.com has unveiled the architectural design plans for the largest private investment in Ohio in the 21st Century.
The plans for the guaranteed minimum $600,000,000 destination resort/casino will employ in contruction-thousands in both union and prevailing wage jobs. The MyOhioNow.com complex will be over 2,000,000 square feet.
This entertainment complex will include a major luxury hotel, restaurants, spa, tournament golf course, convention center, live theater and more. The complex will employ, at the onset, up to 5000 Ohio jobs. The average pay will be $34,000 plus full benefits.
The site will be located in a central location (between Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton) off I-71 at State Route 73 in Clinton County.
"We are thrilled how our architects have captured our vision of a grand resort/casino that embodies our Midwestern sensibilities. It will undoubtedly attract visitors nationwide as it will be the largest facility between New Jersey and Nevada," remarked Rick Lertzman, co-founder of MyOhioNow.com.
"Its exciting to bring this level of investment and job creation to our state. This is a dream that my partner and I have had for our state. With the tax revenues going directly to each county to help with their local needs, with no strings attached, with the up to 5000 Ohio jobs that will be offered, and this amazing complex- we are hoping that Ohio voters will embrace a casino plan that finally makes sense for our state," said Dr. Bradford Pressman, co-founder of MyOhioNow.com.
Dr. Pressman and Mr. Lertzman, the founders of MyOhioNow.com, are childhood friends that have been working nearly 20 years on their shared vision that will be presented at this conference.
The group sponsoring this initiative, MyOhioNow.com, is currently in the process of a statewide drive to collect the necessary 402,225 signatures needed by August 6 to place the issue on the November 4, 2008 statewide ballot.
Under the MyOhioNow.com plan, a guaranteed $600,000,000 destination casino/resort would employ up to 5000 Ohioans and could possibly generate over $200,000,000 in tax revenues that would be divided among the 88 Ohio counties on a per capita basis.
