Wildwood Casino announces financial restructuring
KRDO, Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 12:56:39 PMAmerican Gaming Group announced Tuesday that it has completed the financial restructuring of the Wildwood Casino, located at Cripple Creek, Colorado. The restructuring included an additional capital investment from Plainfield Asset Management along with a significant reduction in our senior debt.
"This transaction is extremely helpful in light of current economic conditions combined with the soft gaming market in Cripple Creek," said Joseph Canfora, Chief Executive Officer of Merit Management Group and a manager of American Gaming Group. "The restructuring enables us to move forward with capital improvements."
Additionally, Cripple Creek voters recently approved changes to gaming laws made possible by Colorado's Amendment 50. Voters passed the Amendment 267 to 13, a 95 percent approval margin. The vote allows for increased betting limits, expansion of games (roulette and craps) and expands casino hours of operations to 24 hours a day.

Author: vegasgal12Posted: Saturday, July 19, 2008“We headed up to Cripple Creek Thursday to check out Wildwood in Cripple Creek. The building is new and when you walk into the place it reminds you a lot of Green Valley Ranch in Vegas, but there was no one there on a Thurs afternoon. The facilities were very nice and new, slate floors and private enclosed stalls in the ladies room (something we appreciate) but all in all the place was so dead and there so many employees walking around having nothing to do, that it took away from the enjoyment of the experience. Cocktail servers were around, but easily missed me for a drink order.
Inventory of slot machines: Lots and lots of pennies, nickels and above. New poker room and generally everything is brand new. Lots of poker and keno, my favorite.
Slot club staff was efficient in signing us up and letting us know what the promotions were, but their attitude was civil at best. The gal that signed me up couldn't crack a smile if her life depended on it. When I went back a second time to see if my points entitled me to anything I got a flat "no". Attitude is everything at a slot club desk and when you have grumpy people behind it, you know the casino is not a fun place for them to work.
New sign ups: Thurs is senior day, double points and a 1/2 price meal at their cafe for anyone over 50. Also, when you sign up for a new card they let you spin the wheel for points, prizes, etc.
I would return to Wildwood if and only if it was crowded. Word to the wise regarding their parking structure, it is narrow so if you drive a dually, or a wide truck be careful, or take the sedan!”

Waited a long time to be approached by a staff member to get a drink. Also, they have got to improve the attitude of their Miners Club agents. You ask for status of comps, or cash back and you get a "you have nothing" attitude without even the least bit of friendliness. After we had a very brief visit to Wildwood we went back over to Midnight Rose where things are much more to my liking. Very friendly servers, drinks sometimes in 30 seconds, and much looser machines, albeit they are not as new as Wildwood, you can keep that place. I still think it sucks!”
